In 2021, we premiered ‘Full Moon‘, the follow-up to Sarah Buckley’s widely acclaimed debut single ‘You’ve Got Me‘, and tipped the emerging alt-folk artist from Cork, Ireland, as one to watch. Last year, we premiered the single and title track of her debut EP, Magic Powers, and today, we have the pleasure of premiering the accompanying video for her latest single ‘Puppet Show‘.
Puppet Show is the second track taken from the forthcoming new EP (‘Wind Chimes‘), and it explores the experience of misplaced trust and recalls a relationship gone wrong. The song maintains an ethereal edge throughout, with her intimate vocals sounding perfectly at home in this acoustic dream-pop setting.
On this release, Sarah teamed up with Darragh Nolan (Ailbhe Reddy, A Smyth), Lorcan Byrne and Cillian Byrne (Basciville, Susan O Neill). The track is mastered by Sarah’s regular collaborator, Karl Odlum (Fionn Regan, David Kitt).
The accompanying visualiser was made by Sarah using phone videos and photos and an AI creative lab.
