In 2021, we reviewed Soak, an album by the Brussels-based trio Las Lloronas featuring Sura Solomon, Amber in ‘t Veld and Marieke Werner. As Richard Hollngham’s album review mentioned at that time, the trio have a shared background in activism and art, a central thread that ran through that album. In their own words, they describe their music as a shared “moment of powerful vulnerability, on the verge of lament, daydream and battle cry.”
They recently unveiled a music video for their new single ‘Run‘ that was Directed & written by María Lorente-Becerra. The track, which they describe as “Folk & slam meet in an encouragement to dance with our own fears”, is taken from their forthcoming album, due for release on 6th October.
