This week’s Folk Show features music from Alasdair Roberts, Alex Rex, Lankum, Joshua Burnside, Shirley Collins, Liz Hanks, Lisa O’Neill, Jim Ghedi & Toby Hay, Freda D’Souza, Carlene, Elkhorn and The Saxophones.
There is music from two of our Featured Albums of the Month:
‘Land’ is an immersive album of depth and subtlety on which Liz Hanks helps us understand how a place changes over time. She reads her surroundings like a vast physical palimpsest, peeling away roads and buildings to examine the earthy underbelly, the strata of human activity and natural change. Read the full review here.
Plus, on Jim Ghedi & Toby Hay‘s self-titled release, they presented twelve diverse and dynamic tracks that ebbed and flowed like a river, evoking nature and the outdoors. Assured in its composition and immaculate in its execution, this one is a must. Read the full review here.
There are links in the playlist below to find out more and also to support the artists we play by purchasing their music.
Enjoy.
