New video from Rachael Dadd - Footsteps

To mark the release of her new album Kaleidoscope, Rachael Dadd has shared a video for the album track Footsteps, featuring her and her children Shuki and Oto in Ashton Court, Bristol.

“Footsteps is a vessel for keeping a record of those big joyful feelings of love that I felt really strongly through the lockdown, at points of oasis amidst all the struggle and sadness. Love for my children, love for my friends and family, love for the world” says Rachael, “the video is simple to understated and captures some of the magic that fed the songwriting on ‘Kaleidoscope’”. “I celebrate motherhood, wearing it proudly on my sleeve alongside being an artist and musician, in a culture where motherhood isn’t seen and celebrated enough” she adds.

The video for ‘Footsteps’ is the third video from the album to be made by Rachael in collaboration with talented filmmaker Narna Hue and follows those for ‘Moon Sails’ and ‘Heads Down’.

“Narna is a dream to work with, super fun and skilled and there’s a creative spark between us”, Rachael explains. “The three videos illuminate different sides of my life, and I hope give people an insight into where the songs come from.”
