Taken from her new EP ‘You Thought You Knew’, releasing July 15, 2022, Lindsay Lou has shared a new video for Don’t Go Back. With Lindsay also playing banjo, she’s joined by a great community of fellow musicians. They include Maya de Vitry on fiddle who provides some gorgeous lines, while Ethan Jodziewicz’s bass and PJ George III’s percussion and Flatfoot Dancing inject some well-placed energy and tension to this rootsy Appalachian-tinged song making it a great lead single.
She shared: I wrote “Don’t Go Back” during a writing retreat at home. I woke up to a text from a friend who said he’d had a dream that I was singing to him, and the only line he could remember was “Don’t go back.”
Also joining her are Dominic Leslie on mandolin, Alex Bice on the triangle and bass drum, and Anthony da Costa joining on vocals.
The single is available to stream everywhere now.
