Following the release earlier this month of ‘Howling Wind’, Alela Diane has today released another new single titled Paloma, again produced by Tucker Martine.
Speaking about the new single, Diane says, “‘Paloma’ was written down in Mexico during a violent thunderstorm that took out the power for a few days. It is a musing on the volatility of the systems we build, and the knowledge that nature always gets the last word.”
Like Howling Wind, which featured an accompanying visualiser video with Diane playing with her daughter in the garden, this new single finds both her daughters providing her with a unique makeover.
Diane’s last album, Cusp, was released in 2018 and tapped into the nurture, strength and emotion of motherhood. The word is to keep your ear to the ground for Diane’s next album.
