VXVW is the latest live offering from Cameron Knowler & Eli Winter. The Texan ex-pats recently gave a concert in their former home state a year after releasing their debut album Anticipation, which we reviewed here.
The notes state: This performance marries that album’s Far West Texas dreams with winning banter and instrumental wordplay, smooth In-N-Out-under-the-stars vibes and the sweet mouthfeel of a drenched Chicago Italian beef. In other words, the pair play several Anticipation numbers, plus striking elusive twin-guitar renditions of extant and unreleased solo works.
It opens to their own sublime rendition of Michael Chapman’s Caddo Lake, a tune I never grow tired of.

The duo recently completed a short tour of the UK, including Cafe Oto, before continuing on their European leg of the tour, which ends next month at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, Spain.
