David Ford and Annie Dressner joined forces at the beginning of 2022. Although having had a sneaky listen to their forthcoming single Warning Sign, you’d be forgiven for thinking they’d been performing together for longer. Some voices just go well together, and Ford and Dressner complement each other perfectly.
The duo found themselves playing on the same bill at a couple of gigs in the freezing North of England. Initially sitting in for a song or two in each other’s set, these brief moments of collaboration became a highlight of the show. They had written and recorded their debut release two weeks later, naming it 48 hours in honour of the two-day burst of creativity during which most of the material was written.
48 Hours is set for release in early July, ahead of which we will be premiering their video for lead single Warning Sign. The album will be supported by a UK tour; see below. Watch the accompanying tour video to find out why we think this will be something special.
The duo are also offering a free tack today “Strangers Who Knew Each Other’s Names” via their Bandcamp page here: https://dressnerford.bandcamp.com/releases
