Welsh folk-pop artist Rosa Lavenne continues her love for that mid-century nostalgia as she shares her new video for ‘Golden Ale’. It’s quite an upbeat number for this melancholic singer, and it has a great looping guitar melody that will hook you in—one to melt away the snow away.
Rosa says: “My new country blues pop track ‘Golden Ale’. Quite unlike my other music, this song is fast paced and has quite a heavy production. As always, every element of this song was recorded and produced by myself (except the drum beat). I used just two instruments; my acoustic guitar and my 80s piano and at 100BPM, it is one of the fastest songs I have written. I wanted to pay homage to some of the blues and country artists that I liked with a bit of an indie pop twist thrown in for good measure. Though the production strays somewhat from my usual style, the lyrics are quite typical for me; it is a song about heartbreak. Because the track is a bit Americana, I wanted the visuals to suit. Also, I’m just a sucker for those over-the-top muscle cars of the 70s so why not haha? I hope you enjoy this song as much as I did making it!”
