Having recently completed the delayed UK tour of his debut album “Bloomin’ Josh Okeefe” almost a year after its release, you don’t have to wait long before Okeefe delivers another nugget.
He has just dropped “Rolling with the Punches”, the video for which features footage from the film “City Lights” by Charlie Chaplin. He has been taking the world on ‘blow by blow’ in the mould of the traditional troubadour with songs that often dig deep into the social conscience. While Okeefes style may hark back to the Greenwich Village scene that helped define a 60s generation and protest movement, he delivers his songs with genuine fire and passion that looks “The Man” straight in the eye. Long may he continue to do so.
