Back in March, we premiered the video for Troubador Boy by American-Scottish folk singer and songwriter, Daisy Chute. The song had an appealing sixties-folk-vibe, which, together with subtle and sparing acoustics made her voice shine throughout. For those new to the music of Daisy Chute, it was some introduction.
On 15th September, Daisy will be performing an online gig via OnJam with Jack Tustin. The 42-minute original, close-up set was filmed in a single take and in full high definition at The Rattle, in Tobacco Dock in East London. It will be followed by a short interview with Daisy and Jack.
Here’s a reminder of Troubadour Boy:
“…It’s about the sacrifices we feel we have to make (yet hope that we don’t have to make) as musicians to pursue a career in the arts. At its heart Troubadour Boy is a love song, but with an unrequited twist only revealed in the song’s bridge”
