Earlier this year, The Weather Station (aka Tamara Lindeman) released Ignorance, an ambitious and personal record and one of 2021’s most highly-praised albums. Lindeman has just announced a North American and European tour in support of the release.
In his review, Bob Fish noted how “Instead of writing the album on guitar, which was her natural instrument, she used a keyboard and came into the studio with arrangements fleshed out on her midi setup, producing the set in a real studio with enough money to be a bit more ambitious.”
Ignorance was “nothing short of magical” with a talented backing band, and while the album focused on climate change and planetary concerns, there was also personal lessons contained therein.
The Ignorance tour will present Lindeman’s sophisticated new sound performed by a full band. They’ll play Bonnaroo, Summerfest, and the Pitchfork Music Festival in September, before touring Canada in November. The tour will continue in early 2022 with shows all over the US and Europe. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 11th at 10am local time.
