This week’s Folk Show is brimming with gems, including our Artist of the Month, Katherine Priddy, with a track from her highly anticipated debut album The Eternal Rocks Beneath. Plus we have new singles from The Breath covering the incredible Karen Dalton, Joshua Burnside and Laura Quirke‘s (Lemoncello) new single Taking the Wheel and HAV‘s new single featuring Iona Fyfe, the video for which we premiered today.
From our Featured Albums of the Month, we have music from Ulster Trio TRÚ who earlier today talked us through their new debut album No Fixed Abode (read that here and our album review here) and Fishclaw‘s new album Feil which you can read all about here and find out more but their AR App which is tied into the album.
Also recently featured, we have music from Adrian Crowley, Peter Doran & Haley Heynderickx, Alula Down and Little Arrow. Plus we have a track from ‘Sai–thaiñ ki Sur by Khasi-Cymru Collective – The album is a collaboration with artists from the Khasi community in Meghalaya, North East India. Since 2017, Gareth Bonello (The Gentle Good) has been writing and working with a range of poets and musicians from Meghalaya to examine the effect of the first Welsh Overseas Mission in the region.
