Out this Friday (25 September), Ain’t One Thing is such a powerful single from the Indie-Folk-Americana Bristolian Singer-Songstress. There’s a purity and honesty in the lyrics built upon a bedrock of love – a promise never to try and change a person – even if they stir up a heady cocktail of attributes and flaws.
She sings it just like it is, no fancy complex lyrics – there is no need, as the silver lining here is that voice (I could listen to this one on repeat), right down to the cheeky laugh before declaring “let me love you in more ways than one”, it’s an uplifting joyful listen with an underlying 60s folk vibe that carries over onto the stylish artwork for the single.
This has all the ingredients of a hit single and of becoming an enduring classic. One thing is for sure…there ain’t one thing we’d change here. It’s also our Song of the Day.
Lady Nade started writing poems and songs as a form of healing from grief, performing in venues across her native city of Bristol, her work developed into a calling to connect with her fans on a deeper level and help lead them through life’s complicated tapestry with the healing power of music. Lady Nade has learnt that loss and grief isn’t something one can recover from alone and with her music and recipes she creates a communal experience that everyone can enter into on their terms.
Lady Nade has been selected to be one of the 12 Artists selected to represent England in a Global Music Match virtual tour bringing together 96 artists from 14 countries from all over the globe for two months, virtually travelling to Italy, Scotland, Wales, Australia and Taiwan to be introduced to the represented countries key artists countries artists to their fans.
