For their third online festival, Folk on Foot have risen to the challenge and will be presenting us with something that many of us have been looking forward to seeing for months. They will be reuniting artists in the same space, a rare treat with no split screens!
Taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31st audiences will be left in the capable hands of Folk on Foot presenter Matthew Bannister and the superbly talented Nancy Kerr.
The lineup features some of the best in class musicians from the British folk music scene and while some of those groupings may be familiar there are also artists reunited (Spiers & Boden) and some lineups that will be new to many. We imagine there will be growing anticipation as the Bank holiday draws near as this is, hands-down, their best offering to date.

Also, here’s news of a chance for you, the audience, to get TOGETHER AGAIN too – at London’s Kings Place venue where you can watch the festival on the big screen. In addition to screening the festival, there will be a live on-stage conversation between musician, Sam Lee and broadcaster/folk on foot host, Matthew Bannister. They will share clips from Folk on Foot recording at Sam’s Singing With Nightingales event and Sam will sing a couple of songs too.
There are only 100 tickets available and at £24.50 each that will just about cover the cost of opening the venue. It will be the first live event in the Kings Place hall under the new government guidelines, for a safe, socially distanced audience at limited capacity.
This live event starts at 12.30 and you can book a ticket for Kings Place here: https://www.kingsplace.co.uk/whats-on/folk/folk-on-foot-festival-3- together-again. (Masks must be worn inside the Kings Place auditorium and hand sanitiser will be available at all entry and exit points).
