Pickathon’s A Concert A Day is now in week 15 during which they bring a previously unreleased concert from Pickathon and premiere each day at 1:00pm Pacific (4:00pm Eastern) on Facebook (across Pickathon, The Recording Academy, artist and partner pages), Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube.
The concert series is a fundraiser for MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund and is matched dollar for dollar by Spotify up to a collective $10 million through the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief Project.
This week includes unseen sets from Tennyson, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Soft Kill, DakhaBrakha, Milo, La Luz. They also premiered I Draw Slow‘s Workshop Barn performance from 2013. This Dublin roots band have been going for 11 years now. Siblings Dave Holden (guitar) and Louise Holden (vocals) who have been writing together for two decades took the decision to create a bigger sound back in 2008 and added full band support to their ranks to form I Draw Slow who include: Violinist Adrian Hart, Claw hammer banjo player Colin Derham and Double bassist Konrad Liddy. After releasing Redhills in 2011 they managed to reach Number 2 in the Irish chart position following which they made their debut US appearance in Nashville. They now have a big following in the US where they are recognised by some of the biggest festivals including Pickathon.
Enjoy this great concert from 2013.
