Last year, Saskia Griffiths-Moore shared her love of Joan Baez and Bob Dylan through her album Baez, Dylan and Me which we reviewed here. Reviewer, Peter Shaw concluded:
For those who know the source material, it offers a fresh interpretation and renewed appreciation, for those new to these extraordinary and timeless songs, it may well be the start of a rewarding musical journey.
More recently, the London-based singer songwriter shared the news of a transatlantic two-album record deal with The Susanne Marcus Collins Foundation, Inc. in the US. The first fruits of this deal arrive on July 31st with her new album “Are You Listening”. Today, we’re able to share the first taste of that album with her video for lead single “Best of You”.
Saskia wrote “Best Of You” for a friend who was struggling as a supportive, encouraging anthem to help them get through a difficult time. The song focuses on how individual perspectives can change your life.
She has also been endorsed by Agnew Instruments and JWC Guitars who made the guitar featured in the Best Of You video below, which is its first appearance. The video was filmed at the Lost Pond in Epping Forest during lockdown with social distancing and a reduced film crew.
Saskia and her music have been featured on Sky TV, London Live, BBC Radio Scotland, Wales and more, and have received glowing four and five-star reviews from across the music press.
“Are You Listening” will be available on July 31st, on CD, vinyl, and all streaming services.
