This Sunday we have…
Hudson Records Listening Club – Jon Boden – Rose In June
Sunday 26th April – 10.30 am
Jon Boden is best known as the frontman and lead singer of folk legends Bellowhead, he is also one-half of the award-winning festival favourites Spiers & Boden. Jon has always had a solo career as well, which has more recently become his main focus, writing and touring his solo projects including a trilogy of post-oil concept albums, soon set to be complete.
Jon has been touring with his band the Remnant Kings for the last decade, the lineup has changed and expanded over time and last summer they decided to go into the studio and record some re-workings of songs from Jon’s solo albums as well as other songs and arrangements they have been performing on the road at the live shows.
Recorded at the legendary Rockfield studios in 2019 by producer Andy Bell, ‘Rose In June’ by Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings is this Sunday’s Hudson Records Listening Club. Read the Folk Radio album review here.
“…an endlessly varied and accomplished album that sees the Remnant Kings at the top of their game, and shows just why Jon Boden is one of the most lauded folk musicians this century.” Thomas Blake, Folk Radio
