We kick off the day with a lively Tune of the Day from Monster Ceilidh Band about a cat…It was recorded at Simpson Street Studios, Rothbury.
Live music from us with a tune composed by our Accordion hero Amy thatcher called Messi’s, about a cat who had a breakdown. Unfortunately, the Kitty didn’t make it as far as Amy knows, it had a breakdown. The tune describes the scene when the RSPCA had to take it away after her housemate couldn’t afford vet bills and pretended that the cat wasn’t hers. That cat was named after the footy player. It’s one of the first folk fusion tunes that Monster Ceilidh Band put together in Newcastle upon Tyne for our little ceilidh band. It’s had a few tweaks with some lush folk violin intro and synth from David’s magic box.
