Today, we have the pleasure of sharing with you the first single from Eric Long’s new album “Looking Up” which is out later this month. Originally from York Pennsylvania, and now living in San Francisco, Eric has been making quite a name for himself as a rising songwriter in the Northern California Folk scene, and this new album, recorded at Prairie Sun Recording Studio with Grammy-winning engineer Oz Fritz looks set to take him to the next level.
Everyday is a punchy single which carries the hallmark of a classic featuring lush upbeat strings with an instantly memorable & positive chorus. The song embraces the notion of leaning into one’s community when times get tough, to rise above and to champion life everyday.
The single features David Pascoe on mandolin & fiddle, Eric Long on acoustic guitar, Thom Beneduci on upright bass and Rhyne Erder on drums. Departing from his 2018 singer-songwriter album “A Long Way From Home,” Eric has embraced a full-band sound which comes fully alive in this upbeat newgrass anthem.
Eric Long’s new single Everyday is out this coming Friday 13th March.
