Irish duo The Lost Brothers (Oisin Leech and Mark McCausland) have shared a video for After the Fire, the second single from their forthcoming album “After The Fire After The Rain” due for release February 2020. The track features guests M Ward and Howe Gelb on electric guitars with Bob Dylan’s long-time bassist Tony Garnier…the upright bass apparently once belonged to jazz giant Charles Mingus.
The video was directed by Gavin Wood and filmed in Monaghan and at a copper mine in Anglesey. “The lyrics of the song made me think of copper and the elements” explains Gavin Wood “so we made a trip to a mine called The Copper Kingdom! We also filmed some birds on the Mersey as the band used to live in Liverpool! I was partly inspired too by the psychedelic Joshua Light Show as an overlay to the landscape- the band seemed to be going in a more abstract direction with the lyric.” Gavin Wood (Liverpool Filmmaker)
