Earlier this month, Jeffrey Lewis released his latest album of alt-folk garage-rock wisdom in the form of Bad Wiring. The comic book writer/artist and musician, along with Mem Pahl (bass) and Brent Cole (drummer), deliver twelve songs which channel his cathartic observations and self-deprecating humour; from themes of vinyl obsession to the mounting rise in depression.
There’s a strong suggestion that this is the best album his written to date and after listening to just a handful of songs you’d be hard-pushed to disagree – you’ll also be left wondering why in the hell Lewis is not better known than he is, this album is filled with unforgettable songs that set his songwriting apart from anything else you’re likely to hear today.
Lewis has shared a series of videos by Shibby Pictures from the album which you can watch below, kicking off with the latest “Except For The Fact That It Isn’t” and the brilliant “LPs”.
