Taken from her forthcoming album ‘Flux’, out on 8 November via Memphis Industries, Rachael Dadd has released her second album single titled Beacon.
Produced by Marcus Hamblett and featuring fellow musicians Emma Elizabeth Gatrill and Rob Pemberton, Rachael says the song is “about the tide of knowledge and truth that we can choose to be immersed in.”
That in itself is a strong statement, a reminder that we live by our choices and what we “choose” to believe in. Rachael Dadd has a beautiful way of song writing that plays on words – that are in themselves folded up into a song like one of her origami creations. Like ‘Beacon’ it makes you wish life was that simple…that we just had to unfold it all to see the bigger picture. “Somethings we know, some things we don’t know and some things we’re about to know”. Like a beacon, the passages of this song are cast out for those passing…I hope we grow wiser.
Rachael will tour in 2020 with the musicians on the album, playing the following January and February UK dates:
