New names to the festival this year include Amythyst Kiah, Mama’s Broke, You Are Wolf, Çiğdem Aslan & Tahir Palali, Burd Ellen, Gwenifer Raymond and Thom Ashworth.
The diverse programme includes dance traditions of the British Isles – from Border Morris to Bhangra, to small, intimate concerts and energetic roots dance parties, folk dance and ceilidhs, Children’s Festival and Youth Sessions, storytelling, workshops, talks and much, much more.
Amongst the latest news is the welcome return of some wonderful Sounds Of Modern Scotland concerts, with support from Creative Scotland, showcasing the finest new talent from north of the border, including concerts with Julie Fowlis, Peatbog Faeries, The Shee, Iona Fyfe, Hannah Rarity, Kim Carnie, Ross Couper & Tom Oakes, Burd Ellen, Sheena Wellington, OBT and Arthur Coates.
