This week’s Folk Show features all new music as well as some forthcoming new releases from Nick Hart’s new album ‘Nine English Folk Songs’ due for release on 1 May, Cormac Byrne & Adam Summerhayes’ new album Stone Soup who are performing this month at Costa Del Folk on 28 April, and we’ve also sneaked in a couple of tracks (by Lankum and Olivia Chaney) from the forthcoming Topic Records Anniversary compilation – Vision & Revision : The First 80 Years Of Topic Records which is out on 31 May (pre-order here).
We’ve also music from a few of our Featured Albums of the Month: Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening’s ‘Hollowbone’ (reviewed here), Ye Vagabonds’ ‘The Hares Lament’ (reviewed here) and Ruth Notman & Sam Kelly’s ‘Changeable Heart’ (reviewed here). All of this plus new music from Hat Check Girl, Josienne Clarke (an as yet unheard track from her forthcoming single release, it’s the first B-side ‘Season & Time’), Thom Ashworth, Mike Vass, Gnoss, Dallahan and The Breath.
Enjoy.
