Tomorrow sees the release of Lunar Vortex Incantations, the new album from Edinburgh-based songwriter and fingerstyle folk guitarist Burnt Paw. He is doing a live in-store this evening at 18:00 at VoxBoxMusic in Edinburgh (21 St Stephen Street, Stockbridge, EH3 5AN). In the meantime, feast your eyes and ears on his beautifully atmospheric new music video for Fire Maidens. A tale to be told around night fires…a spirit bridge to the deep past, Neolithic psychedelia. It’s also our Song of the Day.
Bio: Burnt Paws music is influenced by a wide range of alternative and experimental artists/styles from both sides of the Atlantic, including psychedelic folk, contemporary, new/dark folk, and whatever weird wonders he discovers on Bandcamp (that’s where you’ll find his music too). Burnt Paw’s songs unwind from oral histories, dream-fragments, myths, imaginary adventures and life-stories. He loves self-made art, occasionally publishes poetry, reads a lot of Walt Whitman and buys too many second-hand books on Neolithic history.
