On this week’s Folk Show we have a number of new tunes including music from Richard Thompson‘s 13 Rivers, currently our Artist of the Month with whom we will be featuring an interview in the coming week; Rachel Newton‘s new album West (out 28th September – more on that soon); a great tune from Barry and Laura Kerr‘s Castor Bay album which we recently reviewed here and a new tune from Slow Moving Clouds (Aki, Danny Diamond & Kevin Murphy) forthcoming new album Starfall, out on September 21st.
Amongst some great new music are the likes of Pentangle, Clannad, Paddy Keenan And Tommy O’Sullivan, The Poozies (watch their new video for the track here) a fine folk trio of Chris Wood/Roger Wilson/Martin Carthy, Lal and Mike Waterson, Leveret, Marry Waterson & David A. Jaycock and Pete Coe. There’s also a small tribute to the legendary Irish fiddle player Tommy Peoples who passed away last month.
