If you love lo-fi folk then make sure you check out the new album from Brighton’s The Knights Project. The micro label Woodland Recordings, whose music has featured on Folk Radio UK, have released their new album The Shoreham Sessions which is available as a limited edition numbered box and digital download which can be ordered via Bandcamp – https://theknightsproject.bandcamp.com/.
The numbers and members of The Knights Project have changed over the years and currently consists of Lucy Day (Vocals, Guitar, Clarinet) and Tom Cowin (Guitar, Cittern). Guest vocalist Guy Hayes joins them on two tracks including Mollusc featured in the album video trailer above which is also our Song of the Day. The album was recorded live in a living room in Shoreham by sea and is all the richer for it. Unfussy and genuine with the warmth of an old field recording you’re sure to keep returning to, a simply beautiful album.
The physical release is limited to 100 copies – Hand stamped CDr, 12-page lyric booklet, seaside material in a hand-printed linocut box.
