Joy’s Reflection is Sorrow, the new album from Sharron Kraus is due for release on June 21st via Sunstone Records (Lords of Thyme, Trappist Afterland). They are taking pre-orders now for the limited edition (200 copies) clear-frosted vinyl version here. It’s a record that traverses the spiritual and emotional rhizomes of the human condition, soaring angelically on Sharron’s tapestry woven from traditional and experimental folk music.
The label describes the release as a work of true wonder and beauty. Like existence itself, fragile, brittle, fleeting.
Like the day and night via the hues of sunrise and dusk, Joy’s Reflection is Sorrow is a work of 8 songs that leads you through the dichotomy that as mortals we all face. That love and death are the only constants and abstracts of reality and meaning.
