2018 will mark ten years since Ben Glover released his first album and next month sees the release of Shorebound, an album which Glover says is “a major turning point in a cycle…an acknowledgement of where I am and a celebration of the people who I’ve gotten here with.”
We have the pleasure of sharing his video for Kindness, one of the new songs from the album on which Ben shared the following:
“I would go as far as saying that, if there were testimony that I could leave this world, then this song is it. It’s my declaration of the greatest and most important lessons I’ve learned so far. It seems pretty clear and simple to me that a lot of problems in this world could be solved if we were kinder to ourselves and kinder to others. I believe that kindness is the essential nature of love and that’s the ultimate value we must express. Here’s the thing, life can land some hard punches, it’s been my experience that a bit of kindness can help with the bruises.”
Video director and album co-producer, Nielson Hubbard added:
“The song itself is such a simple and powerful message so we wanted to film a video that kept that sentiment, something really intimate but emotionally intense. The song is so damn good we just didn’t want to screw up the visual!”
Shorebound is released on 4th May 2018 via Proper Records.
