February this year saw the release of Extralife, the latest album from indie-folk quartet Darlingside. Extralife was a Featured Album of the Month on Folk Radio and in her review of the album Sarah concluded: “There is something fulfilling about listening to music that feels like it was truly made for the sake of music, and for the devout fan of indie folk, Darlingside has found an engrossing niche.” Read the full review here.
The band have just revealed their new video for Best of the Best Times. Directed by Chris Fleming the feel-good video features a bored factory worker whose tedious day takes an optimistic turn following a sudden burst of creative inspiration.
Next month sees Darlingside’s return to the UK for a handful of dates as well as a headline appearance at Shepherds Bush Empire in November, and appearances at Cambridge Folk Festival and Belladrum Festival in August.
