When I was initially asked to consider premiering this video for Brie Capone‘s second single ‘Enough’, I’d not come across her before. Any trepidation was rapidly set aside after hearing her voice, spine-stingingly soulful, it has a stop-you-in-your-tracks essence. The openness of the arrangements on Enough compliment and accentuate those qualities; her observations of loneliness with her honest yearning vocals taking centre stage.
Joined by the talents of Jack Victor (drums), Peter Brownlee (guitars), Scott Gorski (bass), Merrick Noyes (organ), Olivia Springer (violin), Emily Spreng (cello) and Jim Aaron (clarinet), Enough settles somewhere between soul and alt-country.
In this intimate film by Peter Brownlee, Brie Capone invites the listener to visually experience her inner dialogue of disillusion. It’s a hands-down winner on all fronts.
Following the release of Enough, Brie Capone will tour nationally to promote her upcoming EP ‘If I Let You In.’
