Christine Leakey has teamed up with Kristian Hoffman for a mini compilation on which Christine covers her favourite (nice) Christmas song, a cover of Patti Page’s Christmas Bells while on the flip-side Hoffman delivers his Naughty Christmas original song – Christmas is Coming (So Get Out Of The Way). The release, which has been given the catchy title of Naughty & Nice is available digitally and as a limited edition lathe cut. Listen below:

Kristian shared the following on the release:
“Xtine and Xtian bundled at X-mas at last!
“Christine Leakey and Kristian Hoffman in a (ahem) Virgin Birth Mash Up!
“Christine Leakey, beloved of none other than genius Mark “Teenage Opera” Wirtz (You know – the “Paranoiac Woodcutter”) and Linda “Parallelograms” Perhacs, along with Kristian Hoffman, whose last CD was called “an ornate masterpiece of baroque pop” (Magnet), have decided to bundle up and bundle together for that bundle of joy named – well, Jesus – and make a two sided double whammy age defyin’ crucifyin’ tribute to that most celebratory (or, not so much?) holiday stolen from pagan tree worshippers. Let us help you ease your way (or sleaze your way – the choice is yours) through your holidays with a typically lovely Leakey cover – Patti Page’s “Christmas Bells” – and a typically snide Hoffman original: “Christmas Time Is Coming (So Get Out Of the Way”). In these uncertain times, the perfect stocking stuffer for your most doubtful queries into organized religion, and your reassertion that family, beauty and music will always come first. Oh, I forgot – can we say “stuffer” anymore?”
Christine shared the following on Kristian: “Kristian was Klaus Nomi’s composer and has worked with several artists including Rufus Wainright, Prince Poppycock and was in a band called The Mumps during the whole CBGB Max’s era. He’s accomplished much more than that and leads such a colourful life that recently Yale University reached out to him requesting to archive his collection from some important eras in art and music culture with McDermott & McGough who are dandy artists that I met Kristian through while seeking out material online about Peter McGough who is my cousin from the duo visual artists that play themselves in the film Basquiat since they were part of that whole Warhol scene. Kristian also featured on various tracks from my Wanderlust Wishing Well album.”
