We recently reviewed I Dreamt I was an Astronaut, the latest offering from Jeremy Tuplin (Folkwit Records). Phil, in his review of the album, concluded that “Jeremy Tuplin may be the missing link between Nick Drake and ‘Space Oddity’-era Bowie. ‘I dreamt I was an Astronaut’ is an engaging piece of work, blending excellent folk-based songwriting with creative and gently overarching production that fittingly frames Tuplin’s songs, taking them to a different and unexpected place.”
Watch his new lyric video for Astronaut below:
Jeremy shared the following on the video:
“All of the footage in this video is taken from NASA’s online image and video library, so first of thank you to Bert Ulrich for confirming permission to use the footage for this music video. The song has lines that meant quite a lot to me at the time of writing, and so I guess that’s partly why I added the lyrics to the video – and because that seems to be a thing that’s in vogue at the moment. The song itself oscillates between dreams and cold, hard reality before ending up in outer space with the album title line ‘I Dreamt I Was An Astronaut'”
