We have the pleasure of sharing with you Write Me a Song, the latest song and video from Saskia Griffiths-Moore‘s forthcoming third studio album Night and Day. She describes the album as Anglicana – a roots-inspired alt-folk fusion of acoustic meets pop. She shared the following on the song and video:
“Two strangers, a weathered traveller and a young girl, meet in an allegorical woodland. The compelling, almost romantic visuals, directed by Benjamin Britworth, reflect the unorthodox relationship of the two people, and how the older character, David, asks the young girl, Jenny, to ‘Write Him A Song’, as he tells about leaving the world behind.”
This folk style ballad, combines clear but understated vocals with a left of centre acoustic band sound, leaving the listener carried by the song and caught in the story.
‘Write Me As A Song’ debuted on air on the 26th August with a number of BBC stations including, BBC Scotland, Shropshire and Gloucestershire as well as a host of regional shows, and the track is featured on her new album, Night and Day, out 27th October.
