Worry Dolls have unveiled a new lyric video for Endless Road, a vulnerable look at the sacrifices one has to make when choosing to be a touring musician. Having spent the best part of two years on the road, it’s about the realisation that this is a life commitment to always be moving; travelling; having to say goodbye. It’s about acceptance; “I may never find a place to call mine, but maybe that’s alright”.
Go Get Gone was released on January 27th, 2017 on Vinyl, CD and all digital outlets via Bread & Butter Music (read our exclusive Track-by-Track feature). It’s a confident and broad-brushed portrait of a band truly hitting their stride. Playing on the the album’s title Mike Davies declared in his FRUK review of the album: “This is going to cement the reputation of the Worry Dolls here in the UK and introduce them to America in a big way, no worries. Go, get.”
Those unfamilar with the duo, the Worry Dolls are an exciting female duo born out of the joint talents of Zoe Nicol (Banjo) and Rosie Jones (Guitar). Go Get Gone was recorded in Nashville and produced by Neilson Hubbard (Matthew Perryman Jones), a veteran of East Nashville’s music scene and featuring songwriting collaborations with Jeff Cohen (Teitur), Ben Glover (Gretchen Peters), Joe Doyle (Reba Mcentire) & stunning playing from Wild Ponies, Eamon McLoughlin (Ashley Monroe), Kenny Hutson (Little Big Town) & more.
Worry Dolls are touring the UK extensively this year and highlights include Jessie Western’s catwalk at London Fashion Week, the main stage at Cambridge Folk Festival, Country 2 Country at The O2, The Great Escape, Maverick, SummerTyne and Bristol Americana, as well as joining Ian Hunter and Sam Outlaw on their UK dates and headlining their first tour of Ireland in September.
