While Wintersong was first released in 1998, in the earlier days of Dakota Suite, this recording was made during Dakota Suite & Quentin Sirjacq’s Japan tour in 2015 which was organised by Schole Records and features on the album of the same name released last year.
The press for the Wintersong album reads “the tour started in early March when a dusting of snows can be observed occasionally, and the spring weather is about to come.” You don’t need a postcard of Mt Fuji to picture it, the vocals of Chris Hooson and the gentle piano of Quentin Sirjacq do a perfect job of painting it.
