For their latest release, the DIY folk band Rosemary & Garlic drove to Italy, where they found the perfect setting in the house of the Italian painter Claudio Acchiardi. The result is both nostalgic and uplifting, seeing two children run in the first days spring, whilst the mountains are still covered in snow.
Rosemary & Garlic toured in Italy in the summer of 2015, playing intimate shows at museums and galleries.
The new video fits perfectly with Rosemary & Garlic’s filmic song repertoire. Their first video release, The Kingfisher, was filmed in 2015 in a beautiful and haunting Nordic scenery. For the filming, the band donned skates and set off in the early morning to hunt for a perfect frozen lake.
The folk band has been praised for their indie-folk sound that perfectly colours the seasons. Their EP The Kingfisher gained international attention with listings in indie folk Spotify playlists such as The Most Beautiful Songs in the World, Winter Acoustic and Folk Radio UK’s Mellow Morning.
A few weeks ago Rosemary & Garlic already released the first track of their new album, Birds, where they reveal a classical and vintage yet experimental new folk sound for their upcoming debut album, set for September 17th.
Rosemary & Garlic’s self-titled debut album is due for release on September 17th.
