This month Ewan McLennan will go back out to play his first UK solo tour of this year. After spending the last few months on collaborative projects – Breaking the Spell of Loneliness (reviewed here) with the author and journalist George Monbiot (read our interview) and a recent EDFSS commission, The Theatre Ballads – Ewan will be touring across England and Scotland in the coming months. There’s then a busy Summer festival season lined up for him, from Sidmouth to Shambala, Fire in the Mountain to Beverley Folk Festival. See tour poster below.
Here’s a reminder of why he’s such an exceptional singer and musician. These were recorded around one microphone as part of a session for Folk Radio UK and featured a song from each of his three studio albums at the time along with a new track he’d written ‘Holding Out Against the Night.’
