Cameron J Niven has released a video for his single Indigo Hue which features images from ‘Woman in the Dunes’, directed by Hiroshi Teshigahara in 1964.
Back in February when we premiered the single he shared this about the track:
It’s been three years since the release of Tick Tock, my first EP which has taken me everywhere from the sun dappled streets of Valencia to the grinding gears of New York City. It’s been a beautiful journey so far and it’s time to share some new music. After releasing some tunes and playing a fair few memorable shows with Edgar Wallace Exchange last year, our lives took over and the band dissipated. I thought this was a fitting first release for the year as it’s full of the influence of chums old and new including Maya McCourt (Various Guises) on cello, James Macphail on bass and the tremendous polymath that is Ben Walker. In lieu of a drummer, Ben & I weaved various percussive instruments into the song, including my udu which has a characterfully deep, earthy timbre. So here’s Indigo Hue, a song I wrote for Edgar Wallace Exchange about coming and going.
Video no longer available
Indigo Hue is out now on all digital platforms via Paint Records. An EP is to follow in September 2017.
