Hailing from St. Louis, MO, now based in Nashville, we have a new track to share from Emily Roig‘s forthcoming album Refuge, due for release on 10th March. Emily had this to say about Engraved.
“Engraved” is a song that grapples with questioning God’s presence in our lives, wondering if he really remembers us and is with us in our pain, sorrow, and struggle. The song has differing points-of-view in the verses and chorus, and my producer and I tried to capture those seemingly opposing voices even in the way I sang the various sections of the song.
