It’s been a while since we last shared any new on Cameron J Niven, so it’s with great pleasure we’re able to share his new single Indigo Hue, due for release on 27th February. Cameron shared this about the song:
It’s been three years since the release of Tick Tock, my first EP which has taken me everywhere from the sun dappled streets of Valencia to the grinding gears of New York City. It’s been a beautiful journey so far and it’s time to share some new music. After releasing some tunes and playing a fair few memorable shows with Edgar Wallace Exchange last year, our lives took over and the band dissipated. I thought this was a fitting first release for the year as it’s full of the influence of chums old and new including Maya McCourt (Various Guises) on cello, James Macphail on bass and the tremendous polymath that is Ben Walker. In lieu of a drummer, Ben & I weaved various percussive instruments into the song, including my udu which has a characterfully deep, earthy timbre. So here’s Indigo Hue, a song I wrote for Edgar Wallace Exchange about coming and going.
Indigo Hue will be released on all digital platforms via Paint Records on 27th February 2017 with an EP to follow in September 2017.
Produced by Ben Walker
Written & Co-Produced by Cameron J Niven
