Scottish duo Catriona Price and Esther Swift who sail under the name of Twelfth Day recently launched a Kickstarter Campaign for their new album Cracks In The Room, one they’ve described as their “most honest, raw and exciting work yet.”
It was recorded earlier this year at Mattie Foulds’ Caribou Studios in the Scottish Borders. The duo called on Chris Wood to produce the album; this will be his first production job outside of his own albums. Chris then took it over to the USA where it was mixed by the legendary sound engineer Oz Fritz who has worked on the likes of Tom Waits’ Grammy-winning album Mule Variations.
Not surprisingly, they are eager to take those final steps towards release but they need your help to do so. They’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign which features some great rewards in return for your pledges towards the album’s completion – “These range from pre-ordering your copy of the album (which you’ll receive two months before everyone else), to us coming to play a concert in your house.”
Head to their Kickstarter page here where you can also read a bit more about the album, what’s behind it, and how your pledges will be used.
