As I sit here typing this, the temperature outside is -3ºC, a reminder that winter is on the way. I’m sure I’m not the only one feeling it, so if you are tempted to sit by the wood burner than venture out for your music…think again. The best way to keep warm at any live gig is to get up and dance and what better than the Anglo-French acoustic dance combo Topette!! They are Andy Cutting (diatonic button accordion), James Delarre (violin), Julien Cartonnet (bagpipes, banjo), Tania Buisse (bodhrán), and Barnaby Stradling (acoustic bass guitar) .
They are on tour through December and have a new album planned. Before those details, here they are performing Bourrée Morvandelle/La Lustrée at The Convent:
Their tour kick off in Bristol on December the 8th (full details below). The short tour is in two halves, as the band will be spending a few days in the middle at Giant Wafer studio in mid-Wales. The plan is to record the bulk of an album there, to be completed and released in spring / summer 2017.
Come for a dance or a listen, and get yourself in the party mood ready for the festive season.
