THE JAMES BROTHERS
WED 19 OCT: 19.45
The James Brothers come from the lands down under; lands in which the traditional songs and tunes of the British Isles have evolved their own unique characteristics, like musical marsupials. And it’s these songs, and several of their own making, that The James Brothers have united to play – combining their distinct Antipodean-steeped folk and virtuosity with the gusto and spontaneity of a pub session.
ANDY CUTTING
SUN 13 NOV: 19.45
Soulful, warm and technically outstanding, Andy Cutting has been a consistent musical force since he came to prominence with the innovative Blowzabella. His influences extend beyond the English isles to France and the storming Quebecois tradition. His commitment to and sense of pride in traditional music has made him one of the folk scene’s most wanted, playing with Kate Rusby, John McCusker and Under One Sky…not forgetting the marvelous Topette:

Join us underneath Cutty Sark’s gleaming hull and hear this ten-man group sing a rousing set of shanties and Cornish folk songs in a musical celebration of the 147th anniversary of Cutty Sark’s launch.
