Lynched – Cold Old Fire (Director’s Cut)

Our Song of the Day is Cold Old Fire by Dublin-based band Lynched. Watch the powerfully moving Director’s Cut video above by Luke McManus, which opens with the traditional funeral lament Caoineadh na dTrí Mhuire (Keening of the Three Marys) before Cold Old Fire is performed, a recession-era song that was written by Cian Lawless during a particularly bad winter.
