Hoodman Blind are an Irish trio hailing from Limerick, Clare and Wexford who explore the boundaries of tradition. As well as drawing on the the roots of Irish song and music they are also influenced by the folk music of other countries including Finland and Sweden where they have studied.
They are Finn Harper on Button Accordion, Niamh Ní Bhriain on Harp and Sean O’Dalaigh on Fiddle. All three provide vocals. They mention their ethos is to create a musical landscape that brings an array of colours and shades to the tradition. As you can hear on their promotional video below they most certainly do. A trio with a huge amount of potential and lots to offer, one to watch for!
