FRUK is heading to Shropshire this coming weekend (17-19 June) for Sin-Eater festival which is held at The Bridges – just outside the centre of the village of Rattlinghope, Shropshire which is believed to be home of the England’s last Sin – Eater. Richard Munslow’s grave lies in Ratlinghope Church.
“Combining folk, music, arts, crafts, film and ale in an area of outstanding natural beauty” sounds great but Sin-Eater is no ordinary festival…it is anything but “ordinary”. It’s a melting pot of creativity that sets it apart from other festivals. With its strong sense of artistic community it offers something that is becoming increasingly rare these days – a line-up like no other.
As you can see from the line-up this is going to be a pretty unique weekend, the thought of which brings a genuine big smile to my face. Included are some of my personal favourites: Trembling Bells, Stick in the Wheel, Toby Hay & Jim Ghedi, RM Hubbert, Cath & Phil Tyler, Nick Jonah Davis, Daniel Bachman, Rusalnaia and C Joynes & The Dead Rat Orchestra.
