Whilst the video for Ancient Jules from Steve Gunn featuring Michael Chapman is going to take some beating on a visual level (watch it here) there’s no denying that the tracks revealed so far from Gunn’s forthcoming album Eyes on the Line, his first on the Matador label, are filled with promise as his latest lyric video shows.
Watch the new lyric video for Park Bench Smile above on which the endless moving train provides a great visual companion almost sub-consciously drawing you to certain lyrics ‘It’s all the same‘ whilst the drums mimic the sound of crossing points. The perfect canvas for some blissful guitar…’a soothing voice and words like rain’.
Steve Gunn & The Outliners – Nathan Bowles (drums), James Elkington (guitar, lap steel), and Jason Meagher (bass) are currently on tour in Europe.
