In our latest mix we kick things off with a genuine musical kick courtesy of Barcelona band Seward before slipping into the trance-like sounds of Dan Carney aka Astronauts. We have new music from Vessel (Dane, Anders Mathiasen), something of a prolific artist who releases his new album ‘Patterns of Blue‘ today and from Barbarisms new album ‘Browser’ (Out June 10th) – for those that like their Graham Parsons cut with Galaxy 500.
We also have some live session tracks from Mountain Man, Sweet Baboo and The Weather Station, all three from Daytrotter Sessions and Sam Brookes from a 2012 Folk Radio UK session he recorded. We have music that has recently featured as premieres on FRUK including Spain (Josh Haden) and Madam (aka Sukie Smith) and we delve back in time, but no too long ago, for a long-time favourite from Darko Rundek And Cargo Orkestar.
I’ve also included a great track from Naomi Randall & Tom Gaskell which featured on their 2013 debut album. Naomi wrote to me recently to let me know that she’s gigging again so keep an eye on her Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/naomi.randall.31
All this and more…Enjoy!
